Most people associate mosaics with classical Roman & Greek cathedrals or collages made of broken china. I never really considered myself a typical mosaic artist. After refining my skill, I decided to take a different route and strive to prove that mosaics could be fashionable, sexy fixtures in anyone’s home.

With the exception of a few credit hours under my belt, I am completely self-taught. Throughout my life, I have surrounded myself with very creative people, all of whom have contributed, in some way, to my growth as an artist. I believe, whole-heartedly, that you are a product of the environment you choose for yourself.

My style has evolved quite a bit over the years. I started my artistic career with painting and sculpture, focusing primarily on the female form in an abstract style. Since then I have transitioned into more of a playful gothic style. I design all of my pieces exactly as I would want them to be, and they would all go perfectly with my décor. I don’t produce anything I wouldn’t buy myself, which I feel is a very good business ethic.

When I’m not working my hiney off, I spend my free time with my boyfriend Barry and our two mischevious cats, Danzig (an orange tabby) and Pacino (an all-black shorthair). I enjoy exploring new genres of music, my favorites being industrial, trip hop, and nouveau metal. I’m also a hardcore fan of mafia & sci fi movies. Give me The Departed or a little Battlestar Galactica, and I’m one happy girl.

One of my biggest vices is spending far too much money on Etsy. I do, however, get a lot of satisfaction knowing that my money is helping fund independent artists just like me.
