Hi. I am ArtAndArtifacts; Susan McSherry. I am a self taught, self conscious stuff maker. I live in the beautiful Ozark Mountains where I cannot go to town if the creek rises. Seriously. I occupy my time and my hands with all sorts of wondrous found objects that are on the cusp of being something else....usually that something is a little shinier than it used to be...;-). Mosaics found me for good in about 2000. I have stopped for nothing else for a while now. I use a very high degree of recycled content. Seems that I have been cleaning my workbench off for about a year now....

I have a rule: Use what you have. No- you can't just go get a (fill in the blank)...because 1) there is no where to go for anything within a days drive and 2) it really makes life interesting. I mean - being creative is the mother of neccessity...or something like that...
At any rate- make something and you will feel better. That's my mantra. Try it. It works.
