PRIM GRUNGY GARDEN DAFFODILS
Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Spring Offerings. Here we have 5 Primitive Folk Art Grungy Daffodils. This arrangement would display nicely as a centerpiece, shelf sitter, or placed on a bureau, table or halltree. Each bloom measures approximately 9-12" tall and 4-5"wide. They would look great in your country farmhouse and would also make a wonderful house-warming gift that is everlasting. I have created this floral piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. Each daffodil is cut from muslin and hand-stitched with a gathered circle center surrounded by blooming pointed petals. They have been paint-washed in buttercup yellow paint and aged with my grubby solution of coffee-vanilla-cinnamon, baked and sprinkled with dry cinnamon. Each long stem is formed with twisted rusty tin wire and the tightly curled end sprouts from the center of the daffodil. The glass vase is not included in the auction. I can imagine these blooms arranged in your rusty tin, green glass or quilted container. This piece has been lovingly made by me using a pattern designed by Tennesee Ridge Primitives. This design will come to you dated, signed and tagged with my own label "Collectibles by Joan" which states "The Handcrafting and Time Invested in this Piece are its Own Mark of Quality".

PRIM JEAN POCKET CHICKEN DOLL & YOYO FLORAL
Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Prim Offerings. Here we have a Primitive Folk Art Chicken and matching Grapevine Watering Can blooming with Farm Fabric Yoyo Flowers. This set would display nicely as a centerpiece, shelf sitter, or placed on a bureau, table or halltree. The chicken measures 13" tall, 10" wide and 5" deep. The yoyo floral measures 13" tall and 11"wide and 5" deep. This set would be perfect for your farmhouse kitchen and would also make a wonderful house-warming or bridal shower gift. The Chick's head and wings are sewn from muslin and her lower body is sewn from recycled jeans and weighted with sand. The cone and wattle are sewn from barn red flannel and the beak and webbed feet and legs from a mottled golden print. I have needle sculpted the wing's feathers and blushed the edges. The pocket of the jeans holds natural exelsior and three wooden chicken eggs painted light ivory. Black beads were used for the eyes, the beak nose is stitched with black floss, and her cheeks were blushed. Her scarf is torn from a Debbie Mumm collectible checkerboard print in tan, red, cream and black and tied into a knot off to one side of her head. Her legs can dandle from a shelf or she can sit as shown. I have given the Chick a primitive tag that I have coffee-stained and inked the edges with brown pigma ink and adhered a green print background and an image of a colorful chicken that says "Fresh Eggs". The tag is attached with a rusty safety pin to the scarf. For the Yoyo Floral arrangement, each flower is hand-stitched into a nostalgic "yoyo" fabric circle, reminiscent of the olde fashioned yoyo quilts. Each flower is made from a different, but coordinating farm print fabric in rich burgundy, cream, and black to match the Chick's scarf. I have sewn a large cream button with red floss at the center of each flower. The fabric leaves are sewn from a hunter green cotton fabric layered with interfacing and wire is inserted to make them poseable. The wire stems are wrapped in floral tape and then anchored into floral foam covered with spanish moss. The nine yoyo flowers are arranged in a natural grapevine twig watering can wrapped with a coordinating solid checkerboard fabric bow that is torn and tied into a big bow in the front, embellished with a large red vintage-style lucite button. The chicken was lovingly made by me using a pattern designed by Cotton Ginnys. The Yoyo Floral was also made by me as my own concept and design and no pattern was used. This design will come to you dated, signed and tagged with my own label "Collectibles by Joan" which states "The Handcrafting and Time Invested in this Piece are its Own Mark of Quality".

PRIM SHABBY CHIC ANGEL DOLL VINTAGE LINENS
Welcome Prim Friends and thank you for stopping by to visit my New Shabby Chic Offerings. This is my Primitive Shabby Vintage Keepsake Linen Angel that I have fondly named "Abbey". She is completely designed and handmade by me with very special attention to detail and design. She measures 11" long and 7" wide. For that extra special touch, I have used a vintage linen tea towel for her gown. This one-of-a kind design features a soft white linen with ornately embroidered pastel floral and cutwork designs. I have carefully pieced the tea towel to form a full length gown with a gathered neckline using pink pearl cording. Her head and arms are sewn from pink cotton and her cheeks are blushed. Her primitive eyes are black dip-dot paint, and the sparkle on her cheeks is antique white paint. I have drawn her eyelashes and brows with a fine tipped black pigma pen. Her hair features the finest mohair white yarn that I have gathered into loops and tied in the center. Her halo is made of gold ming wire for a dainty look. Her arms are knotted as if she were praying. Her stiffened quilted wings are cut from the remnant of an antique, hand-stitched cutter quilt. She hangs on the wall by way of a loop at the back of her head or she is sittable and can also be used as a tuck. I have give her a primitive hang tag that I aged in a coffee-vanilla stain and adhered an image of single yellow Victorian rose that I have bordered with clear German Glass Glitter to give it a bit of sparkle. She will be perfect for your display of collectible angels, and year round in your Shabby Chic Cottage, Victorian or Country home. PRIM SOFT SCULPTURE BUNNY ON WHEELS
Welcome Prim Friends and thank you for stopping by to view my new Prim Offerings. This is a sweet Prim Sculpted Bunny Doll I have fondly named "Bunny on Wheels" and she measures 9" tall, 10" wide and 4" deep. Her soft sculptured body is sewn in pieced sections from grey plush felt and stuffed tightly. I have hand-embroidered the cross stitches on her back, and the stitches on her nose, mouth and paws with navy blue floss. I have given her shiney black beads for her eyes. The wheels are made from unfinished wood that I have painted a dark country red. The front spoked wheel is placed on a dowel that is adhered to her front feet. Her back feet rest on a wooden dowel that supports the tiny red wheels attached with unfinished wooden caps. Around her neck I have tied a big bow torn from a navy blue flannel homespun. I have given this piece a Prim hang tag aged in my grungy solution of coffee, vanilla & cinnamon, and then baked. A nostalgic image from a vintage postcard was adhered to the tag in an oval shape and bordered with fine clear German Glass Glitter for a bit of sparkle. I have pinned the tag to her bow with a rusty safety pin. This piece would make the perfect gift for the Bunny Collector or as a shelf sitter anywhere in your country home.
